Biography: Anne-Marie Sorrenti
Anne-Marie Sorrenti supports the promotion of women into leadership positions through her consulting business, Sorrenti Leadership Consulting. She offers workshops, off-site facilitations, speaking engagements, and individual executive coaching services that focus on accelerating performance, achieving results, and creating more productive work environments. Anne-Marie is passionate about the value of education, training, and mentoring, and is especially interested in supporting women in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) professions. A licensed practitioner of The Birkman Method® assessment, she is also pursuing advanced corporate coach credentials with the International Coaching Federation.
Anne-Marie holds a law degree (JD) from U of T’s Faculty of Law and a PhD in Renaissance Italian Studies from U of T, and has also studied at McGill University and in Italy. She previously practised corporate and entertainment law at a a major national law firm (Heenan Blaikie, LLP) and has taught at the University of Toronto. She is delighted to hold the position of Interim Executive Director at Girls E-Mentorship Innovation (GEM), an organization that matches young women from high-priority neighbourhoods in Toronto with successful female mentors.
