Alumni Ambassadors

ALUMNI RECRUITMENT AMBASSADOR PROGRAM (ARAP)

Throughout the year, the U of T Faculty of Arts & Science hosts Admitted Students Receptions for newly admitted high school students in various regions around the world. We are looking for enthusiastic regional alumni that are willing to speak to their experiences of studying in Canada and specifically at the Faculty of Arts & Science at U of T. Usually there is a welcome talk followed by a brief presentation delivered by recruitment staff, and then alumni are given an opportunity to share their U of T experiences with students and their families in a moderated panel. Note: volunteers should have at least an undergraduate degree from the Faculty of Arts & Science and graduated in the past 10-15 years. If you are interested in learning more about this program, contact Carlo Siochi, carlo.siochi@utoronto.ca.

For prospective/admitted students, our goal is to help high school students who are considering attending U of T make their decision by engaging young alumni who are interested in sharing their experiences.  High school students are always keen to hear what those who have gone through the “U of T experience” felt about their journey.

ALUMNI AMBASSADORS ABROAD

As a University of Toronto alum living abroad (i.e. outside Toronto), your expertise and advice can be very helpful to Arts & Science students visiting near your location on an exchange program or Summer Abroad study program – whether it’s meeting up with students for a coffee and sharing tips about life in your city/country, or hosting them at your place of work and providing career advice. By connecting our students with a supportive community of alumni living around the world, we hope to show them how an Arts & Science education prepares them for a lifetime of success as professionals, engaged citizens and fulfilled individuals. If you are interested in learning more about this program, contact Carlo Siochi, carlo.siochi@utoronto.ca.

For outbound students, by connecting students with a supportive global community of alumni living around the world, we hope to show them how an Arts & Science education prepares them for a lifetime of success as professionals, engaged citizens and fulfilled individuals.
