Alumni Recruitment Ambassador Program

The Alumni Recruitment Ambassador Program is a chance for our graduates to demonstrate how important and meaningful their academic experience has been to them by giving advice to prospective Arts & Science students or outbound students (currently on an exchange program and studying abroad). These volunteer opportunities occur mainly outside Ontario and within partner universities across the world.

For prospective students, our goal is to help high school students who are considering attending U of T make their decision by engaging young alumni who are interested in sharing their experiences.  High school students are always keen to hear what those who have gone through the “U of T experience” felt about their journey. Alumni can participate in various student recruitment activities including the following:

  • Having your name, year of graduation, program, current job title/employer information, approved quote, and photo (optional) included in print materials, on the Future Students website and in email communications to applicants
  • Attendance at a recruitment event, either as a featured speaker or a panelist, or by conversing with prospective students, applicants and parents

For outbound students, by connecting students with a supportive global community of alumni living around the world, we hope to show them how an Arts & Science education prepares them for a lifetime of success as professionals, engaged citizens and fulfilled individuals. Whether it’s a meeting over coffee or hosting students at their workplace, alumni can share tips about life in that region and provide educational and career advice from the perspective of an Arts & Science grad.
